Jolt-Squeeze Molding

Jolt-Squeeze Molding: Economical and Flexible Solutions

Jolt-Squeeze molding is one of the most classic methods in the foundry world, where casting sand is molded using a combination of vibration and compression techniques. Typically preferred in manual or semi-automatic lines, this system is ideal for boutique or medium-sized production facilities due to its low operating costs and high application flexibility.

Working Principle

In this system, the sand on the model plate is first settled into the finest details of the mold by a "jolt" effect; then, the mold stiffness is standardized by a strong "squeeze" pressure applied from above. This two-stage process ensures satisfactory mold strength even for complex geometries.

Advantages of Jolt-Squeeze Molding

Key benefits for businesses seeking high efficiency on a low budget:

✅Low Initial Investment Cost: Compared to fully automated lines, the installation cost is significantly lower; ensuring a quick return on investment.

✅Ideal for Small Batch Production: The most practical method for jobs requiring low quantities and frequent model changes.

✅Easy to Use and Maintain: Thanks to its design that does not contain complex electronic components, it is easy to maintain and works trouble-free for many years.

✅Minimum Operator Training: Simple control mechanisms allow operators to learn the system quickly and work with high efficiency.

✅Full Compatibility with Traditional Systems: Easily integrated into existing grading and sand preparation systems, requiring no major revisions.

✅Flexibility for Contract Foundries: The ability to quickly switch between different part types allows for immediate response to boutique production demands.
